Copyright has been stagnate, and there has been alot of change in the past few years. Works for private broadcaster clients (radio stations, satelite etc) copyright. Has to be some incentive to crete. Have to be able to use and enjoy that work. Legislation has to make sense not matter what medium youre using international treaties provide suggestions to laws. its not binding, but they set standards across the world. Wct and wppt were both treaties that we signed onto in 96 and 97. not completely ratified yet. Rome convention - helped neigbouring copyright - people who are involved with copyright but not really the creators (record labels) not much happened since 97. 2004: cch v lsuc - first time the court was talking about users rights. Doesnt make sense to sue someone for it. Its like going after the high level dealers, not the low level. they are a symptom.
