Youtube is even more of the world brought to our computer screens by amateurs and everyday people armed with digital cameras, camcorders, webcams, and cellular phones. Watching youtube is an investigation into the world of ordinary people and their extraordinary online videos. Canada is most influenced by american culture than any other country. By the middle ages the church controlled the stories. Its not about the wrong vs. right but its about a culture warand the heart of it was the interpretation of the story. Corporations found themselves owning the story making the machinery. Vast majority of shared story now that we participate in comes to us from a commercial background. The common stories that shape us are private propertieswatch, listen do not change. Those stories shape us, our sense of identity, values, common culture. Popular culture today is for the most part the product of this commercial story making system.
