Conducted to show that when only given the standard form, some will answer regardless of the act or any other issue being completely fake. On the standard form: don"t knows rise with education level completed. On the filtered form: no relationship between education level and don"t know response. Pattern confirmed with similar study of fictitious monetary control bill . These responses seem to provide an indication of general confidence in government. About 30% will provide an opinion on an act without an explicit don"t know option. Inferences made are not random, they correlate with predispositions towards the government.
