The malden court clinic: operations involve a mix of emotional cognitive structuralism and general systems theory. They work with young adults before the court on charges like b&e, theft, assault, etc. Operations under two constraints: 1) large number of cases with only two staff. 2) operating as a team with probation officers of the court. The use of general systems theory in psychotherapy: These components are: organizing focus (behavior boundaries), system forming (stretching the boundaries of the clients positive functioning), stable organizing (re-defining and reinforcing more functional and growth oriented boundaries), leading element, trigger causality and flow balancing. The idea is to block out unwanted systems so that the desirable ones are able to form and function. To do this we need to organize foci (wishes, desires, intentions, plans) and focus on nurturing environments. If nurturing environments are at hand, wishes, desires and such will arise.
