Idea of building was to prevent crime bucket system) Capacity: 150 total, 60 1x3m, 30 2x3m, 6 solitary confinement. Debtors prison = fine to city owed, would move into 2x3m cell with family, work off debt. Only 1 escape ever recorded thru trickery. The way of the building restricted movement. *there was a hanging chamber within the jail. Suicide bars- they could not try to kill themselves. First floor of building, first thing a prisoner would see entering the jail. Spread wide eagle form, sometimes chained to four corners of the room. Would sometimes be poured over with honey or molasses to attract insects and rats.
