Making sense of the stats (the video on trump talking about women sexually and claiming its locker room talk/ this goes to our culture. Some reflections on issues, public awareness and social response. Owmen have been raising awareness about consent since 1970. The sexual assault rates are through the roof. This has become a wide spread narrative in media and everyday life that sexual assault rates are so much higher than we think. The state and inatitutional response has arrised as an issue. We have forms of resistance like the matress girl who carried around her mattress that she was raped on until he was prosecuted/ another form was the #ibelieve you as in i believe you as a survivor. Challenge biological and psychological explanations (that pare is violence not sex/ problem with thinking about sex is that it makes it something that is natural and makes it harder to see the violence behind it.
