Acknowledge that people have the worthiness to change: identification with multiple interests (community, victims, offenders) Has many stake holders, not just individuals who offended us, there are also victims in the community: non-authoritative actors are privileged. Cosa: people coming together as individuals and lawyers, doctors, students, etc. Coming together as a community: offender acknowledges wrong-doing and commits to upholding societal values. People have to understand sexual offending is problematic, and must strive to lead a life that does not include this: rituals of inclusion. As long as you don"t engage in this behaviour, you are part of the community again, and we will help you feel this way: success is end-goal. Control group 3x as many instances of recidivism.
