Reinforce market as a means for regulating behaviour/shaping identity: consumption as a mode and space of regulation. Blurring of public/private: there are blurring lines between public and private that causes debate on how is it different from the past. Some measures will exclude certain people from certain places but just move the problem somewhere else. Instances of governmentality : process rather than institution. Regulatory ideals and techniques may be internalized and lead to the regulation of the self. Non-punitive - manage opportunities for behaviours: forms of social control will be things to attempt to exclude behaviour that is unwanted without intruding the lives of individuals. So these forms will be less interested in manipulating the behaviour themselves. The risky drinker: rising insurance cost, decrease the age of the student"s body, managing the health and safety of those who attend, students use of substance during their leisure time, can cause problems (disruptive problem)
