The red umbrella- sex work, stigma and the law (video: red umbrella is a general symbol/ easy to obtain/ if you give the media good pictures, they will use it. Its easy work/ no skills/ anyone can do it. Stigma: stigma is made real in interactions, stigma is negative, framing someone, about being less than. The (diverse) effect of stigma on the experiences of sex workers: personal interactions/ changing stories about various things like how you make your money, social services and community settings, health services, police services. Personal relationships are very difficult for sex workers. Indigenous women are overrepresented in the streets/ also among the victims. Indigenous women"s positions was changed/ harder to get job and make money. Clients: introductory comments: state of the literature, significance of researching clients. Male sexual scripts: intimacy sexuality and pleasure by teela sanders: role of communication/ maintain relationship, desire for mutual satisfaction.
