Day 5: hobbes the leviathan the state of nature and the state of war. Thomas hobbes systematically were bad politics, since were vain we think we know the answer. (the first section of the leviathan the knowledge) For hobbes at a natural level appear in a mirror of different way, but irreconcilable, no natural solution to politics hobbes. Some think humans are naturally political, or have a system like ants. The state of nature is in a state of chaos; we must understand it to reason it properly. Rights: hobbes argues only individuals have rights, but if their rights are focused on their appetite and aversion, right become relative which in turn become conflict. Nature: humans only have one right of nature: i can do anything i want to preserve their own right. (example: killing) anything to preserve our lives which is the right of nature, becomes the state of nature.
