Precip=runoff + evapotranspiration (interception + surface retention + soil moisture + aeration zone + groundwater + channel + glacier) Over a year there is 500ml in basain and 200 in evap how much runoff =300 it is simple math. Warmer air can hold more water vapour and therefore it has a higher maximum vapour pressure (higher maximum absolute humidity) Colder air can hold less water vapour and therefore it has a lower maximum vapour pressure.
