Then there is this massive humid air and then vertical motions, as the moisture is evaporating the cool air comes back down to the surface. A lot of cloud formation and energy transformed in the atmosphere =kinetic. Hurricanes result from energy that the atmosphere has picked up in this process: evaporation. Evaporation and evapotranspiration are similar physical process, except increased control by the plant under transpiration. Need energy transfer to the surface, if vapour pressure in the air is less than saturation.
