Introduce technology as a possible aid to healthy aging. Provides an overview of aging and health. Nearly 75% of canadian seniors view their health as good, very good, or excellent. Of people 85 years old or older, 66% report good to excellent health. It is a complex terms with many meanings. Healthy" used to mean not sick" and sick meant not well", but today, health", wellness", and illness" are less black and white. This goes beyond having good health and is the way a person feels about their health and quality of life. People with a disability or chronic illness may still feel they are well and enjoy quality of life. Health is the state of complete physical, mental, social well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. " this gives a broad appreciation of health that is holistic because it encompasses both the mind and the body.
