Except marriage: negative interaction with parents increases with age, women grow closer through self disclosure and emotional conversation. Provide and receive more support from their social networks: men create intimate relationships through shared activities. Never married individuals: poorer sense of well being as compared to married or cohabitating people, higher suicide rate, deal with social stigma and sterotyping. Must be something wrong with them: spend time and effort creating meaningful social lifestyles.
