The idea of the nation / austro-hugarian empire. Prussian prime minister / german chancellor / ottt von bosmarck 1815-1898. 1848-49 we see the crown granted to the prussian king who did not want it all unification stalls out for a while, but what comes a lot is industrialization. Prussia: says we need to industrialize and we need to expand and nationalize / standardize and control the region beyond the prussian borders which goes into the early 1860s. The debate about small and large germany has not been resolved: what happens in this period we see a civil war break out. Bismarck as prussian misiniters: attemps to bring together germany as a nation state. And does so by trying to_________ rivals / 2 greatest military success for bismarck: 1) against austria in 1866, 2) against france in 1870 these 2 victories determine the shape of cenral europe.
