Disrupts blood flow so decreases immune system and they use nutrients from the rbc to grow and multiply faster: enterotoxin; enteric system, digestive tract, most common symptoms diarrhea, vomiting, nausea. Common in dairy products: exfoliative toxins; affects skin, rash or skin lesions common, painful and invasive, toxic shock syndrome toxic 1; cause very serious infection, very rare, enzymes, coagulase; coagulation of fibrin, causes blood clots. In men symptoms are short lasting and without treatment there are no long lasting effects. In women, there are few symptoms at all and that means the bacteria can live for a long time and later it can cause a lot more problems long term because it is not treated.
