Neurodevelopmental disorders = neurological and development disorders that present in childhood, and they require early intervention for the best outcomes: the most common childhood developmental disorders include adhd, autism, and intellectual disabilities. Early intervention for neurodevelopmental disorders is helpful for improving health, behavior, school achievement, and other factors related to productivity and quality of life. Autism = a lifelong neurodevelopmental disorder that begins in early child and causes challenges with social communication. Autism spectrum disorders affect about 1 in 130 people worldwide: this rate appears to be fairly consistent across regions, the prevalence is increasing. The risk factors for autism and the causes of the rising diagnosis rates remain unidentified. Early intervention can improve cognitive and language skills as well as behavior among children with autism spectrum disorders.
