Video received a lot of attention, and featured not only fab five freddy, but aso graffiti artist lee quinones and the neo-expressionist artist jean-michel basquiat as a dj. Noted as the first recorded rap song to use this. The 808 has been used throughout rap history after this (and in pop) Kraftwerk sample stood out because they represent early electronic music.
