Logic is an abstract science - mathematics, logic are the types of foundational science. Human being is a rational animal - aristotle. I think, therefore, i am - descartes. Many different meanings - knowledge of yourself is the foundation of reason and that is what distinguishes us from animals. Ability to reason/think is fundamental to our existence. Animals are not able to argue - exclusively lies in the domain of human reasoning. Habituation of the mind - you learn things through habituation of the mind - say if you burn yourself once you learn not to touch hot objects. Inductive reasoning - based on habituation of the mind. Reasoning - problem solving, decision making, making predictions etc. Distinction between mere thinking and reasoning - Reasoning is the active and systematic process of analyzing, evaluating, and formulating of beliefs, or statements, by rational standards. A human being is a conscious / aware creature.
