Nietzsche also abandons the traditional search for wisdom, and focuses on seeking salvation for humanity through its transformation (the history of tragedy, the story until hegel about christianity has made us sick). Everything that we have been looking at so far in philosophy has made us sick . Marx was also dangerous, partly responsible for totalitarian and communist regimes. N wants to find something in philosophy that is actually good and positive. He begins his career as a philologist (love of words, study of ancient texts). He revaluates what the greeks mean to us. He argues that they are part of our story. He evaluates the birth of tragedy in ancient greece. Dionysos (god of wine, revelry, chaos, destruction, death) Apollo (god of truth, sun and art, life) Dionysos plays the bigger part, he represents life (chaotic one) for greeks.
