Captain says you must never interfere with a less developed country, leads to disaster . It"s about interference by providing them with advanced technology. Maybe all this has a western bias to it. China"s open door policy other countries have followed suit. Not many countries reject western technology as a type of colonialism in disguise. If yes, then other non-western cultures will reject that idea because they don"t want to become someone else. Or does industrialization happen to all cultures but happened in england first. If believe that industrialization is a universal thing and doesn"t matter where it began, you are not relativist. If believe it is western, then have relativist idea of world. Maybe they don"t feel less developed or choose to live this way. They consider themselves to be developed but in a different way. It depends on what standard you use to judge other cultures.
