Scientists motivated towards falsification of research for money. Grant recipients subject to scrutiny by patrons so possibility of failure is not possible. University scientists very independent and rigorous, so will analyze data in appropriate matter and won"t be biased because they have certain amount of grant support. Fear that there will be some interjection of their agenda into research. Scientists becoming less concerned about if there is contaminated, and more concerned about what can be done with contaminated results. Mess up little data = career destroyed. Science fraud = deliberate act by scientists to knowingly pass faulty data to public: forged/fabricated data, falsified results, piracy, plagiarism, acts intended to mislead, i. e. Drug pha was treatment for alzheimer"s, created demand for drug but busted by. Fda who forced him to retract results: i. e. cigarette smoking not harmful to health. Scientists writing papers fast (1 every 10 days) many based on false data.
