Violations of rights violation of your right to know stuff (doctors giving our free samples to patients, really working with pharmaceutical companies) When talking about rights there are legal rights and moral rights. When moral rights are being violated, not like legal rights where you can get lawyer. Utilitarianism is based on wants, and who to give what. We have legal rights (right to vote, abortion) and moral rights are the theory that you have the right to something morally and it is there whether you want it or not.
