Saw reason, rather than faith as a bases for morality. Philosophy tends to me more skeptical and reasons of the truth. Theology argues that they found the truth. See the medical profession as valuable and that its value should be weighed against risk. See the inherent value of the individual and profess a respect for autonomy. Theologians realized that god will not be demonstrably proven, but reason can demonstrate god"s e(cid:454)iste(cid:374)ce: the kalam (speech) argument. Whatever begins to exist has to cause for its coming being. Therefore, the universe has a cause for its coming into being.
