According to divine command theory, an act is right (if it is) because god commands it. God can make lying right and telling the truth wrong. God"s will and moral rightness: euthyphro answers the latter. Telling the truth" is good because god commands it. Not: god commands telling the truth because telling the truth is inherently and intrinsically good. Major problems with diving command theory: first interpretation. It presupposes some standard of right and wrong that is independent or, and presumably prior to god"s command.
