Bernays influenced women smoking cigarette labeled it as the torch of freedom. He made it as if if women smoke, it means she is powerful and independent. Make humans feel free= it is all about feelings. goal is about being happy. Greeks thought we are based on reason. Russian revolution (1919) based on freud logic: People cannot be trusted to make rational choices about lives. Plato was against democracy since he thought people were too stupid for that.
