Product safety on the ethics of the use of animals in science. E. g. video games and violent movies are blamed for. Land mines, guns, weapons of mass destructions, and nuclear bombs. 3 main uses of animals in science: biological and medical education. Cadavers for medical or veterinary school: toxicology testing. The potential harmful effects for humans of various chemicals and commercial products are the first tested on animals: original and applied research. On the causes of diseases and their treatments/study of the biochemical nature and behaviour of living organisms. Two extreme positions unlimited use vs no use. The unlimited use position: as long as no humans are wronged , 1) rene descartes argument (the cartesian argument) Is a practice does not cause pain, it is morally permissible. Animal testing will not cause any pain on them. Therefore, the use of animals for scientific purposes is morally permissible.
