Noumenal objects: which is a contradiction in itself, you can only have phenomenal objects. Dialectic of reason, where reason is looking at the first unconditioned maximum object which is the self , self-identity, the soul . 1st paralogism: the fundamental paralogism, he"s looking at the soul as a unique substance, the soul as a thinking substance, part of the self, the cogigto . We"re adding more predicates in each paralogism. 1st paralogism soul is a substance. 2nd paralogism soul is a unique thinking substance: trying to add the predicate of quantity to the soul. 3rd paralogism soul in a unique substance that thinks and changes overtime: uniqueness over time, the paralogism of personality, developing a uniqueness and differentiation over a period of time. We"re looking at thought thinking for itself. We"re trying to make synthetic judgements a priori. We"re trying to add predicates to it (substance, uniqueness, uniqueness over time)
