Presupposes human tendency to live in separate communities. Understand themselves to be fighting on behalf of one society vs another. Only species with social self-understanding and capacity for organized inter group killings. Even though there are some degree of conflict between animals, it is only humans that have the capacity to understand that they are fighting on behalf of society as a whole.
