Long lasting consequence on the state of germany leads to a sentiment of vulnerability = strengthening of anti-terrorist movements = concerns about immigration. Some of the 9/11 terrorist had lived in germany germany was worried about attacks from outside. Germany realised they we"re vulnerable to attack = increase in domestic surveillance = series of arrest and detention population is uneasy about this and potential violence in germany.
