Hindsight bias: the tendency to believe ater learning an outcome that one would have foreseen it. We overesimate how accurate our knowledge is. In 1977 there is no reason for anyone to have a computer in their home . Our tendency to see the relaionship between 2 variables when there isn"t actually one. Theory: explanaion using integrated set of principles that organizes observaions and predicts behaviours or events. Hypothesis: a testable predicion, oten implied by a theory. Case study: technique where one person studied in depth. Naturalisic observaion- not manipulaing the situaion, observing nature. Surveys: a technique for ascertainging the self reported aidues and behaviours of a paricular group. A measure of the extent to which two factors vary together and how each predicts the other. Correlaional coeicient: closer it is to 1, stronger correlaion is (from -1 to +1)
