Personality disorders inflexible and enduring behavior patterns that impair social functioning. Antisocial personality disorder: person (usually man) exhibits a lack of conscience for wrongdoing. Even towards friends and family members; may be aggressive and ruthless, or a clever con artist. Profound disregard for, and violation of, the rights of others: profoundly egocentric and lacking empathy no regard for the rights, feelings of others; lie, cheat, steal, assault, murder; not necessarily a criminal. Lack of conscience, no remorse or guilt: often superficial charm, often impulsive with no fear of repercussions, but can be cold and calculating; low in fear or anxiety.
