Antidepressant drugs: drugs used to treat depression, anxiety disorders, ocd, and ptsd by boosting mood by elevating levels of norepinephrine and serotonin; i. e prozac, zoloft, paxil. First generation block reabsorption or breakdown of both norepinephrine and serotonin. Side effects include dry mouth, weight gain, hypertension, dizziness, fatigue.
