The book asks many major quesions about the developmental process: 1. ) Nature/nurture and how it applies to development: 2. ) Several stages of development and each one has its own major changes. Between stages there are periods where nothing happens. Human development involves both stages and being coninuous: 3. ) Personality and traits are they the same throughout life, or do they change: 4. ) Point in ime where certain experiences must happen (otherwise our abiliies wont qualify: 5. ) There is hope that we can sill do something about it so it doesn"t efect us today. To date, our knowledge is that women are born with all the eggs that we need and they later mature. Boys start producing sperm as teenagers and unil the day they die, but, the older they get, the more the sperm declines.
