Presence of attachment gure - level of upsetness reduces when the attachment. Social referencing - using how your attachment gure responds as a way of guring how you should respond in this situation. Able to control emotional responses and reactions. Able to understand caregivers as individuals with goals of their own. Able to negotiate reciprocal relationships with caregivers. Eventually transfer attachment needs to peers , romantic partners.
