Try to cause harm to a persons social relationships. May involve setting up conditions to control their behavior (saying you have to do this and this to be invited to my party) May involve withdrawing attention (silent treatment, ignoring them, nasty rumours) Direct relational aggression is more common in small children. Direct and indirect are common in middle childhood. Indirect has been seen as early as 3 years old (in girls) Girls are more common to include their relationships as an important part in their lives. Know more about themselves and other than boys. Use relationships as a vehicle to harm as it is generally very important to women. Women tend to be very aggressive in a social psychological ways compared to men.
