Gonads are regulated by the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland. Gonadotropin releasing hormone: regulates the pituitary"s secretion of gonad- Luteinizing hormone: regulates estrogen secretion and ovum development in the female and testosterone production in the male. Follicle-stimulating hormone: stimulates follicle development in females and sperm production in males.
