Today, as soon as you are diagnosed, you"re considered your diagnosis and all of you actions are seen through that lens. 8 pseudo-patients uncritically admitted (and accepted) as ill. Suggested that normal people are not detectibly sane. Mental health professionals unable to provide correct diagnoses. Majority of patient-staff contacts were aloof, and atmosphere counter-therapeutic. Conclusion of study: hospital environments are counterproductive to both patients and health professionals. He saw that the professionals were not evil, they were loving individuals, but they dynamic was unhealthy. When he presented, the psychiatrists were furious, and they challenged him to present more pseudo- patients and that they will catch them all, he agreed. They said this caught this many (significantly large number), and david said that he sent none. Tomas szasz the mental illness myth. Mentally ill are not ill in the medical sense. They should be considered as failing to adjust, or as having problems in assuming the task of living.
