W e d n e s d a y , o c t o b e r 1 2 , 2 0 1 6: hitting, kicking, lying, stealing. Conduct problems and antisocial behaviours describe age-inapprorpiate actions and attitudes that violate family expectations, societal norms, and personal or property rights of others. Disruptive and rule-violating behaviours range from annoying minor behaviours (e. g. temper tantrums) to serious antisocial behaviours (e. g. vandalism, theft, assault) We must consider many types, pathways, causes, and outcomes of conduct problems. Often associated with unfortunate family and neighborhood circumstances. Circumstances do not excuse the behaviour, but help us understand and prevent it. Behaviour problems are the most costly mental health problem in north america.
