Research with 4000+ children with previous diagnosis of pdd. They did not have repetitive, restrictive behaviours, mainly just social communication difficulties now called social communication disorder. No communication by age 1 (no attempts to communicate) Loss of skills at any age: e. g. child starts to develop language but then it starts to fade away.
