How it is shown in kids vs adults are very different. There are a lot of anxiety disorders we"re only going to focus on the ones that are the most prevalent. Final exams 15, 13, 19, 23 + additional readings. It is completely normal for a child to have fears! What"s the difference between anxiety and fear: fear: reaction to an immediate threat present, anxiety: reaction to a hypothetical fear future, panic: extreme fear that is unprovoked false alarm. Anxiety becomes a disorder when it is excessive and debilitating. Anxiety is a warning and to a certain extent is allows us to survive gives us a motivation to do something (which is good) as long as it is not panic. Separation from parent, loud noises, dark, being left alone, ghosts/monsters, staying alone, fears based on media events (7+), strangers, tests, school performance etc.
