Prolific writer (all in german), not many americans learn german and won"t read his original work (think they can just look at tischner) Students were offered part and limited amount of info from wundt: wundt"s life. Didn"t do so great as a kid, not very good memories of father. Education was turned over to an assistant and got better. Didn"t really like school but decided to work hard to develop mental abilities. Originally wanted to be a physician (29744$, & involved in science) But changed to physiology: early academic career. Taught course of physiological psychology course (first in world), (but really refering to (literary birth of experimental psychology) experimental psychology not physiological: the leipzig years. Did establish a psych lab to do experiments in. Will become model for around the world. For a while mostly ignored, tischner never talked about it.
