Stereotypes type of schema: many traits that can activate one, but some traits are attacked worse. Prejudice a ective part: hostile or negative attitudes towards an individual based solely on the person"s membership in some group, includes irrational behaviour. Discrimination behavioural aspect: treating people di erently since they"re from a speci c group, research focuses on negative discrimination, but there are forms of positive discrimination. Positive discrimination a rmative action, a way to prevent traditional discrimination. Example : stereotype women are emotional, prejudice women are bad leaders since they are emotional, discrimination will not vote for women and won"t hire them since they are bad leaders and they are emotional. Most stereotypes are partially true: problem there is often an overgeneralization of them. Most researchers believe that it is possible to have a schema that you don"t personally believe: can have information about other people"s stereotype. This information in memory has bigger impacts.
