Sept. 20-22: jewish new year (rosh hashana) Sept. 29-30: day of atonement (yom kippur, begins at sunset and ends at sunset the following day) Oct. 4-6, 7-11: feast of tabernacles (sukkot) Oct. 11-12: eighth day of assembly (shemini atzeret) Oct. 12-13: day of celebrating the torah (simchat torah) Seek forgiveness from one another and god. Directly connected to following celebration yom kippur. God is the creator of the universe. God has no body, form or likeness. God has entered into a covenant with humanity. People will take this scripture and put it on their doors, wrap it around their arms, etc. to remind them of it. Human kind is made in the reflection of god. Human kind has dominion over the world.
