Ethnography/participant observation (being immersed in the social setting) Qualitative interviewing (in depth, semi structure or unstructured) Discourse and conversation analysis (analyze of the language used) Qualitative content analysis of texts and documents. Bias can result from personal relationships that develop during the research. May be unclear as to how a particular theme became the focus of research. Is dif cult to replicate and dif cult to transfer to other situations.
