Influenced him, he wanted to try and follow in his fathers footsteps, make him proud. When he was a kid he felt defenseless and like a coward, he realized in his adulthood that it"s important to prove he"s not a coward. Being oppressed in auschwitz, losing his family, basically being told immediately that his fate was to die put an imprint on his mind. He stopped trusting in authoritarian governments and their oppressive law. From then on any law he found oppressive, he would not follow.
