None of these philosophers observed society from a sociological point of view - they analyzed society the way it was - they imagined the ideal society. (france, england, germany canada, the us: industrialization and urbanization process, political revolutions during the 19th century. The process from which a community goes from relying mostly on agriculture and handmade products to manufacturing and related industries.
