Tuesday, january 26th: although there are a number of methods and perspecives employed to study people, several important concepts are used in almost all research projects including things like: theories, hypotheses, variables. Limitaions of scieniic research: human behaviour is too complex to allow sociology to predict any individual"s acions precisely, because humans respond to their surroundings, the mess presence of a researcher may afect the behaviour being studies. Social paterns change constantly; what is true in one ime or place may not hold in another: because sociologists are part of the social world they study, objecively in social research is especially diicult. Subjecive interpretaion is always an important element in criminology analysis. The nonnumeric examinaion and interpretaion of observaions for the purpose of discoing underlying meanings and paterns of relaionships: quanitaive research: The numerical representaion and manipulaion of observaions for the purpose of describing and explaining the phenomenon that those observaions represent.
