The space odyssey (1968): to this day, we are still able to watch this movie and believe that the interaction between the humans and the computer (hal) is possible. Hal was self-aware which is the concept that this film played off of. In many cases, we were introduced to things that were on the margin of society which reflects that we have not yet seen it happen, but it is a possibility. In 1997, we were introduced to the computer deep blue which was developed by ibm and was programmed to play chess. This brought up the question of whether computers can become more intellectual than humans.
