Document Summary

It is implied that there is something smart/knowledgeable about the period we live in. Maybe we simply have more ways/resources that can help us gain knowledge. We should also be able to better communicate the information that we have access to with all the new social media that is evolving around us. It permits us to have two-way communication, on any desired scale. We should be better able to acquire and deploy information within a global context. The amusement side of this speaks to the tendency to be easily distracted from what we were initially doing. We aren"t prepared to pay attention to bigger issues or aren"t motivated to do so in that context. Those other kinds of information that we don"t get access to are more likely to be issues that we disagree with. We want to hear/have access to things that we are more likely to agree with.
